School(es)

In English, we say I am a teacher, but in Spanish, you don't need to use a when talking about occupations.

Mi amigo es profesor.

• My friend is a professor.

Similar to waiter and waitress in English, many occupation words in Spanish change depending on the gender of the person.

Ellos no son estudiantes de inglés.

• They are not English students.

Quiero estudiar en una universidad en/de españa.

• I want to study at a university in spain.

Siempre estudio con algunos/unos amigos.

• I always study with some friends.

Yo nunca estoy aburrido en la clase.

I am never bored in class.

I study at the university. (Yo estudio en la Universidad.)

Esta universidad es mi favorita. (This is my favourate university)

Este pueblo no tiene universidades. (This town does not have universities.)

La biblioteca tiene ocho computadoras. ( The library has eight computers. )

La biblioteca tiene muchos libros. (The library has a lot of books. )

Tengo un escritorio muy pequeño. (I have a very small desk.)

Yo necesito un bolígrafo. (i need a pen)

Yo no escribo muy bien. (I don't write very well)

¿Cuántos estudiantes estudian en la biblioteca? (How many students study in the library?)

Soy un estudiante. (I am a student. )

Tengo una pregunta. (I have a question. )

No entiendo. (I do not understand. )

¿Tú lees en español? (Do you read in Spanish?)

Yo aprendo español. ( I am learning Spanish. )

El maestro está hablando con dos hombres. (The teacher is speaking with two men. )

Tengo muchos amigos en esta clase. (I have a lot of friends in this class. )

Tengo algunas preguntas para el maestro. (I have some questions for the teacher. )
